IOAPA Statement on COVID-19 crisis

Reunion Rio 2016

IOAPA wishes to express its ongoing support to all our members as well as the broader Olympic family during this global health crisis that has emerged as a result of the COVID-19 virus. At this time of uncertainty, it is more important than ever that we stand together as a global community to confront the challenge we face. IOAPA supports the efforts of public health authorities worldwide in efforts to control the spread of this pandemic, including all advisories regarding travel restrictions, self-isolation and social distancing.

No part of the world is untouched by this unprecedented situation. Bound by a common experience, our hope is that our members will find support and solace with each other in the difficult weeks and months ahead knowing that the world will emerge from this crisis stronger than ever, celebrating once again all that sport and Olympism has to offer.
