Christian Kern (BRA)
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, with a specialization in Psychomotricity. Young researcher at the Olympic Studies Research Group of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, with projects in the fields of Olympic Education and Olympism. Director of Communications and Member of the Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee and the Latin American Center for Coubertinian Studies. He is also part of the communications team of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee. He participated for the first time in the International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors in 2023 and returned in 2024 as a group coordinator. Most recently, he took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as an assistant to the athletes of Team Brazil.
Samantha Matavata (ZIM)
She has been the Head of Country Coordinators on the IOAPA Executive Committee since 2023. Previously, she coordinated the Young Ambassadors' Session at the International Olympic Academy (2020–2024) and remains involved with the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee and national sports federations. Passionate about Olympism, she has contributed to the Olympic Games from Lausanne 2020 to Paris 2024. A WSLA and IOA alumna, she holds diplomas in Sports Administration and Management and is currently studying Sports and Clinical Psychology. Through her leadership, she continues to advocate for women's grassroots sports and nurture Olympism worldwide.
Marie Lou Noirot (FRA)
She is a young leader in the Olympic Movement with a deep passion for sports, cultural exchange, and inclusion. As the Volunteer Manager for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, she contributed to a groundbreaking project on accessibility and inclusion, empowering people with disabilities to participate as volunteers in this historic event.
She combines her leadership journey with a love for travel and creative expression, deepening her commitment to fostering teamwork, resilience, and meaningful connections across communities. Her mission is to inspire others to dream big, embrace diversity, and create lasting impact both on and off the field.
Hsin-Wei Chen (TPE)
Hsin-Wei Chen is an interdisciplinary scholar specializing in sports, tourism, and event management. Baseball is her biggest passion. Her passion for sports events and the Olympic Games inspired her transition from working in the travel industry to pursuing sport-related research. She is currently pursuing a dual PhD program between National Taiwan Normal University and the University of South Carolina, focusing on the role of events, particularly sports events, as mediators for community development.
Hsin-Wei attended the 2022 IOA Postgraduate Session and has contributed to spreading Olympic values as a youth counselor for two sessions of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Academy.
Jacqueline Simoneau OLY (CAN)
She is a three-time Olympian and World Champion in artistic swimming, currently completing her doctorate in podiatric medicine (DPM). As an IOC Young Leader, she leads Aqua Unity, a global initiative promoting adaptive artistic swimming for youth of all abilities while advancing United Nations SDGs. She is also an IOC Believe in Sport Ambassador, advocating against match manipulation and unethical sports betting. A member of the Canadian Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission, Jacqueline is a strong voice for athlete representation, inclusion, and integrity in sport.

Andrew Shields (UK)
Andrew Shields is a strategic communications expert who supports global sports events, from Olympic bids to major championships. After a career in journalism, he led editorial services for London 2012, overseeing publications, stakeholder communications, and the Official Report. He later joined Seven46, contributing to several successful Olympic and global event bids, including Tokyo 2020 and Birmingham 2022. As a consultant, he’s worked on major campaigns like Euro 2028 and the ICC Olympic cricket bid, and is now involved in India’s 2036 Olympic bid. He’s also collaborated with the IOC on knowledge-sharing initiatives and directs communications for the Institute of Event Management. A published author and former journalism award finalist, Andrew is also a passionate multi-sport coach.
DR. Konstantinos Georgiadis (GRE)
Dr. Konstantinos Georgiadis is a Professor at the University of Peloponnese, specializing in Olympic history, culture, and education. He served as Dean of the International Olympic Academy (1993–2004) and is now its Honorary Dean. He directs the International Master’s in Olympic Studies and has held key roles within the IOC, including on the Culture and Olympic Education Commission. A member of the Athens 2004 Organizing Committee, he has also contributed to Olympic history through ISOH and numerous academic initiatives. He has received multiple honors for his work, including the Vikelas Plaque and awards from international institutions.
Dr. Yoav Dubinsky (ISR)
Dr. Yoav Dubinsky is a Senior Instructor of Sports Business at the University of Oregon and a former sports journalist with over 20 years of experience. His research focuses on sports, nation branding, and diplomacy, and he has covered multiple Olympic Games from Beijing 2008 to Paris 2024. He authored Nation Branding and Sports Diplomacy and founded the University of Oregon Olympic Studies Hub, recognized by the IOC. A long-time contributor to the International Olympic Academy, he has served as lecturer, coordinator, and alumnus. He’s been active in IOAPA since 2010 and is attending his first in-person session this year.
Prof Irena Martinkova (CZE)
Prof. Irena Martinkova is a Professor of Kinanthropology at Charles University in Prague and Chair of its Research Ethics Committee. She specializes in the philosophy of sport and ethics, with research spanning topics like values in sport, gender, discrimination, and Olympism. She is President of IAPS and Vice-Chair of EAPS. Her publications include Instrumentality and Values in Sport and co-edited volumes on phenomenology and slow sport. An IOA alumna since 1999, she regularly returns as a guest professor.
Prof Jim Parry (UK)
Prof. Jim Parry is Visiting Professor at the Sports Ethics Research Centre at Charles University and former Head of Philosophy at the University of Leeds. His work focuses on sports ethics, political philosophy, and Olympism. He has authored or edited key texts including The Olympic Games Explained and Slow Philosophy, Slow Sport. A former Chair of the British Universities Physical Education Association, he also founded the British Olympic Academy. He’s been a Visiting Professor in Olympic Studies across Europe and Russia.
